Linda Awkar is the Principal of Awkar & Co and an experienced family lawyer based in Norwood, South Australia. Family law is Linda’s sole area of practice, allowing her to bring a focused and in-depth understanding to matters involving separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, property settlement, child support, spousal maintenance, and Independent Children’s Lawyer (ICL) proceedings.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Law and Legal Practice and was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2004. She has practised exclusively in family law for over 20 years, assisting clients through a wide range of matters, from negotiated agreements to complex disputes involving children and financial issues. Her experience includes advising on children’s matters, property settlement, child support, and de facto relationship issues.
In 2022, Linda was appointed as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, reflecting her experience and capability in child-focused family law matters. Her work frequently involves proceedings where children’s interests are central, requiring careful preparation, clear communication, and a balanced, child-focused approach. Linda is known for guiding clients through emotionally challenging situations with clarity, professionalism, and care, while remaining focused on practical and timely outcomes.

Natasha Awkar
Office Manager | Registered Conveyancer
Natasha Awkar plays a key role at Awkar & Co as Office Manager and Registered Conveyancer, providing essential operational support while contributing conveyancing and property transaction expertise to the firm’s services. Her professional background includes experience in human resources, accounts, office administration, and conveyancing, allowing her to support both the legal team and clients with efficiency and care.
Natasha holds an Advanced Diploma in Conveyancing and is a registered conveyancer. She is a PEXA Certified Member and an AICSA Certified Practising Conveyancer, and she also operates her own conveyancing practice. This experience allows her to provide informed and accurate support in matters involving property, particularly where property transactions intersect with family law processes such as property settlement.
In her role at Awkar & Co, Natasha assists clients from initial enquiry through to ongoing support. She manages appointments, coordinates documentation, and ensures clear and timely communication between clients and the legal team. Her attention to detail and organisational skills help matters progress smoothly, particularly in situations where sensitive family law issues and financial or property considerations overlap.
